The siren wails, but there’s nowhere to hide
The homes became deathtraps to those who tried
The prized city, so strong, was yesterday
They watch in horror as it fades away

Women, children, dying at the hands
Of people holding hostage their own lands
Still, minds of people mourning for the dead
Are easily corrupted and mislead

Deceived by those, who, fighting for a cause
Herd sacrificial lambs to lion’s claws
‘No cause without a sacrifice’ they say
The scapegoats, victims of their murderous play

The lives and dreams were shattered by the loss
Demoralised by the Crusader’s Cross
But hopes and dreams will never fade away,
The future comes, the past will never stay

Showing Mercy

It was going to be a beautiful day,
The river meandering along its way
The air was calm, the sun was bright,
The weather forecast turned out to be right

But what they don’t know is what they don’t see,
Storm clouds brewing inside of me
Thunder and lightning tearing apart,
And raging within my powerful heart

The wild, untamed beasts called fury and hate,
Are made powerless before it’s too late
As the clouds disappear, in horror they stare
And I suddenly realize
I just don’t care.

Frogs

Frogs.
They are green. They are slimy. They are red when they are in the mixer after you press a button.
However, these are all common misconceptions on the lovely little friends
The stereotype frog has a miserable life. First off, its family has a bad reputation, being related to toads which are not just ugly but sometimes poisonous and also give you warts.
Furthermore, they are supposedly ugly and slimy, unpleasant to the touch and extremely stupid. Farmers try to get rid of their population because apparently frogs contaminate farming areas, and about midway through their miserable little lives they are scooped up by a great white stork and fed to his children.
Even the great frog-appreaciating storytellers, who tried to better the frog's reputation by telling people they are actually beautiful charmed princes, have been proved wrong scientifically.
But the greatest problem of all, is the way they are degraded by the French. There should be more campaigns against the unnecessary killing of frogs for food. There's not much on them anyway. Pah, desperate people.
The truth is that, frogs are very honourable little creatures.They eat little fruit flies and other molesting insects, which contributes to the removal of UIP(unnecessary insect population). They can also predict the weather.
Frogs come in various different beautiful colour schemes. There are bright green smooth ones, brownish ones, camouflage ones, and the more exotic ones include electric blue, red and navy, yellow and black stripes and green with red eyes. Watch out for those ones though, because they actually can kill you.
Besides that, they are very peace-loving animals. They deserve more acknowledgement than they get!
I have many frog friends. If they had facebook I would add them.
I once met a beautiful dark green frog in a wadi in Oman. He had golden eyes and I named him Prince. I also once met a big fat toad called Doodle. My parents told me not to touch with him otherwise I would get warts. So I didn't. He was bigger then my fist.
Frogs are also loyal companions and fun to play with. You can play games with them. I once played a game that i invented myself called "Drop and Stop". I dropped him and he stopped moving!
